In 2008 the last few houses of 500 multi-generation houses started their work within the charity framework. 68 percent work in rural areas or in small towns with less than 20.000 inhabitants.

Round about 10.500 service offers for each age class are used about 145.000 times per day. Each house offers regularly circa 96 services and attracts about 151 attendants per day.

Nationwide over 16.000 active volunteers support the work in these houses. 60 percent of the active helpers in the multi-generation houses are volunteers.
